The Salomon XT-6 GORE-TEX is a high-performance trainer designed for individuals who move between urban streets and rugged outdoor trails. It offers a perfect balance of weather protection and stability through its integrated waterproof membrane and advanced chassis system, though its technical aesthetic and stiff construction may feel less casual than standard lifestyle sneakers.

Most users find that the Salomon XT-6 fits true to size, but consider sizing up by half a size if you prefer wearing thicker hiking socks.
While stable, they are designed as trainers for walking and light trail use rather than heavy lifting or lateral-movement gym activities.
Clean the exterior with a soft brush and water. Avoid using waterproof sprays unless they are specifically certified safe for GORE-TEX breathable fabrics.
It is a specialized plastic insert in the midsole designed to provide stability on technical descents and uneven terrain.
The GORE-TEX membrane is breathable, but due to its waterproof nature, it will be warmer than non-waterproof mesh versions.
Ensure the lace lock is pushed firmly down and tucked into the lace garage on the tongue.
This is often due to moisture trapped from sweat; ensure you wear moisture-wicking socks to improve airflow.
For the best fit, ensure the Quicklace system is evenly tensioned across the tongue. To maintain the GORE-TEX integrity, avoid machine washing with harsh detergents; instead, wipe the upper with a damp cloth and mild soap. If the shoes become soaked, remove the insole and allow them to air dry naturally away from direct heat sources, such as radiators, which can degrade the synthetic materials. Regularly check the outsole lugs for trapped mud to maintain optimal traction.
