Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure optimal performance and longevity for your KooGa Power SG Rugby Boots, follow these guidelines.
Initial Setup
- Stud Installation: Before your first use, ensure all interchangeable metal studs are securely tightened into the sole. Hand-tighten initially, then use a stud key (sold separately) for a final snug fit.
- Lacing: Lace the boots firmly from toe to ankle, ensuring even tension across your foot. Adjust for a snug yet comfortable fit.
- Ankle Collar Adjustment: Position the padded ankle collar so it comfortably supports your ankle without restricting movement.
Compatibility
- Ground Type: Specifically designed for Soft Ground (SG) pitches, including natural grass fields that are wet or muddy.
- Player Type: Ideal for all-round adult rugby players across all positions who require a balance of support, grip, and durability.
- Gender: These boots are a unisex design.
Care Instructions
- Post-Match Cleaning: After each use, remove excess mud and dirt from the boots using a soft brush or a blunt tool (e.g., a plastic scraper).
- Leather Upper: Gently wipe the leather upper with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaning materials.
- Drying: Allow the boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Never use direct heat sources like radiators, heaters, or hairdryers, as this can severely damage and crack the leather.
- Leather Conditioning: To maintain the suppleness and extend the life of the leather, periodically apply a suitable leather conditioner or protector. > Info needed: [specific product recommendation]
- Stud Maintenance: Regularly check the tightness of your studs. Replace any worn, damaged, or lost studs promptly to maintain grip and boot integrity.
