Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Lacing: Loosen the laces, slide your foot into the low-cut slip-on construction. The padded collar and low-profile tongue are designed for easy entry and comfort. Ensure your heel is snugly seated in the improved heel section.
- Tighten: Begin tightening the laces from the bottom up, ensuring a secure yet comfortable fit across your foot. The streamlined lacing system helps to achieve a uniform pressure distribution. Tie a secure knot.
- Break-In: While designed for comfort, it's recommended to wear them for a few light sessions before a full match to allow them to mold perfectly to your foot.
Compatibility
These PUMA King Match Football Boots are specifically engineered for use on Firm Ground (FG) and Artificial Ground (AG) pitches. The stud configuration is optimized for these surfaces to provide maximum traction, stability, and reduce the risk of injury. Avoid using them on very soft, muddy natural grass or very hard, abrasive surfaces, as this can compromise performance and durability.
Care
- Cleaning: After each use, remove loose dirt with a soft brush or damp cloth. For tougher grime, use mild soap and warm water, gently scrubbing the upper and soleplate. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials, especially on the recycled microfibre upper.
- Drying: Allow the boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not expose them to direct sunlight or use artificial heat sources (like radiators or hair dryers), as this can damage the materials and adhesives. Stuffing them with newspaper can help absorb moisture and maintain their shape.
- Storage: Store your boots in a cool, dry place, away from extreme temperatures. Consider using a boot bag for protection when transporting.
- Maintenance: Regularly check the studs for wear or damage. Proper cleaning and storage will prolong the lifespan of your boots and maintain their performance characteristics.
