FAQs

Are these shoes suitable for running?

The Hypnotic series is designed for leisure and lifestyle use, not as a specialized running shoe.

How do I ensure I choose the right size?

Refer to the UK size guide, keeping in mind that these trainers have a standard low-top fit.

Can I put these shoes in the washing machine?

It is not recommended. Machine washing can damage the adhesive and structural integrity of the shoes. Stick to hand cleaning.

Is the sole non-marking?

Yes, the durable sole is designed for general urban use and is suitable for most indoor and outdoor surfaces.

Does the low-top design offer good support?

It offers standard support for casual walking, though it leaves the ankle entirely exposed for maximum mobility.

Troubleshooting

Laces feel loose or slip during walking

Ensure you are using a double-knot or a secure lacing pattern appropriate for your foot width to maintain tension.

Material shows surface dust or marks

Gently wipe the surface with a soft, slightly dampened microfiber cloth and allow them to air dry naturally.

Shoe feels uncomfortable after long periods

Consider swapping the factory-provided insoles for orthotic inserts if you require additional arch support.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Clean, minimalist aesthetic
High versatility for casual styling
Unrestricted ankle movement due to low-cut design
Adjustable fit through reliable lacing system
Durable build quality for daily walking

Cons

Not intended for specialized high-performance sports
Limited colour options within this specific series
Low-top cut may not offer desired ankle support for some users

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To ensure your Puma Hypnotic shoes maintain their appearance and structure, follow these guidelines:

Sizing: Use the standard UK sizing guide to ensure an accurate fit, as the lace-up closure relies on the correct base size to provide adequate support.
Initial Break-in: Wear the shoes for short periods initially to allow the materials to conform to your foot shape.
Cleaning: Use a soft-bristled brush to remove dry dirt from the exterior. For tougher stains, use a damp cloth with a mild soap solution; avoid soaking the materials.
Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent colour fading or material degradation.
Maintenance: Regularly check laces for signs of wear and ensure the outer sole is free from debris to maintain traction.
