The HP EliteBook 6 G1i AI 14 inch Notebook is designed for enterprise professionals seeking enhanced productivity through AI capabilities and modern connectivity. Its key benefit lies in its AI-readiness, enterprise-grade security, and manageability, powered by an Intel Core Ultra 7 processor with an NPU and Wi-Fi 7. A potential caveat for some users might be its premium positioning and focus on business-specific features.

The Neural Processing Unit (NPU) is dedicated hardware that accelerates AI tasks. This means AI-powered features like background blur, auto-framing in video calls, and content summarization can run more efficiently, often without heavily impacting the main CPU and GPU, thus saving power and improving responsiveness.
It signifies that the laptop is equipped with hardware and software designed to leverage Artificial Intelligence for business tasks. This includes an NPU for AI acceleration, AI-enhanced collaboration tools, and the ability to run AI-driven productivity software more effectively.
HP Wolf Security provides a multi-layered, hardware-enforced defense. Features like HP Sure Click protect against web threats by running browser sessions in isolated containers, and HP Multi-Factor Authenticate secures access with multiple verification methods. It's designed to protect against malware, ransomware, and unauthorized access.
While it features integrated Intel Graphics and a powerful processor, the EliteBook 6 G1i is primarily designed for business productivity and enterprise tasks. It may handle some less demanding games, but it is not optimized for high-end gaming performance.
Wi-Fi 7 offers significantly higher speeds, lower latency, and increased capacity, especially in crowded wireless environments. This leads to faster downloads, smoother streaming, and more reliable connections for devices that support Wi-Fi 7.
The laptop supports a maximum internal memory of 64 GB across its 2x SO-DIMM slots, with one slot occupied by a 16 GB module. The storage is a 512 GB SSD. Consult the official HP specifications or a qualified technician for detailed upgrade procedures and compatibility.
This model features a touchscreen, which is compatible with active styluses. However, a stylus is not included by default with this configuration. Please check the specific product bundle or HP's accessory offerings.
Ensure the AC adapter is securely connected to both the laptop and a working power outlet. Try a different outlet if possible. If the issue persists, contact HP support.
Verify you are within range of your Wi-Fi router. Restart both the laptop and your router. If your network supports Wi-Fi 7, ensure the router settings are correctly configured. Check for driver updates for the Intel Wi-Fi 7 BE201 adapter.
Restart the laptop. Ensure the screen is clean and free from debris. Check in Device Manager for any issues with the Human Interface Devices (HID) drivers and consider updating them.
Confirm that Windows and relevant HP software (like Poly Camera Pro) are up to date. Ensure the NPU drivers are installed and functioning correctly. Check the specific application's settings for AI feature enablement.
Ensure you have a stable internet connection. Close other bandwidth-intensive applications. Update video conferencing software and check the NPU-accelerated features in Poly Camera Pro are enabled and configured correctly.
