FAQs

Does this light block my webcam?

The Yeelight Aries features a low-profile design specifically engineered to sit below the line of sight for most top-mounted webcams.

Can it be used on curved monitors?

Yes, the universal clip is designed to accommodate various screen geometries, including curved monitors within the 0.3 to 1.4-inch thickness range.

What is the benefit of Ra95 CRI?

A Color Rendering Index (CRI) of Ra95 means the light source shows colors very close to how they appear under natural sunlight, which is vital for artists and photographers.

Is the brightness dimmable?

Yes, the device features seamless brightness adjustment in addition to the three built-in light presets.

Does the light save my settings when turned off?

Yes, the light typically remembers your last used color temperature and brightness settings once re-powered.

Troubleshooting

The light bar does not turn on.

Verify that the USB-C cable is securely seated in both the light and a powered USB port. If connected to a monitor port, try a wall-mounted USB power adapter to ensure sufficient voltage.

Light flickers at high brightness levels.

This often indicates insufficient power delivery from the source. Switch the power connection to a dedicated USB wall adapter rather than a monitor or keyboard hub.

The mount feels unstable on a curved monitor.

Ensure the counterweight arm is fully extended and flush against the back of the monitor housing to provide the necessary leverage.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Installation is straightforward and requires no tools. Simply open the clamp, place it on the top center of your monitor, and adjust the counterweight to ensure stability. Connect the provided 1.5m USB-C cable to your monitor's USB-A port or a dedicated power adapter. For care, use a dry or slightly damp microfiber cloth to wipe down the metal body to prevent dust buildup. Avoid using harsh chemical cleaners, as these may affect the anti-glare coating on the optical lens.
