FAQs

Are these bars compatible with all cars?

No, they are compatible with vehicles that have factory-installed roof railings. Please check your vehicle's manual or our compatibility guide before purchasing.

Do I need special tools to install these?

The kit includes necessary hardware, but having a standard hex key or socket set on hand is recommended for final adjustments.

Can I use these for cargo boxes as well as tents?

Yes, while designed for TentBox systems, the reinforced profile makes them suitable for most standard roof-mounted cargo accessories.

What is the maximum weight capacity?

The capacity depends on your vehicle's specific roof load rating; always consult your vehicle owner's manual regarding maximum roof load.

Will the aluminium rust?

Aluminium is highly corrosion-resistant, making these bars excellent for all-weather use, though regular cleaning is still recommended.

Troubleshooting

Bars feel loose after installation

Check that all mounting bolts are tightened to the correct specification and verify that the rubber grips are flush against the vehicle rails.

Increased wind noise at high speeds

Ensure the bars are oriented correctly in the direction of travel and that all plastic end caps are securely snapped into place.

Pros and Cons

Pros

High-strength aluminium construction
Pre-assembled for fast setup
Optimized specifically for rooftop tents
Lightweight yet durable design

Cons

Limited to vehicles with specific roof railing types
Requires verification of vehicle-specific fitment
Fixed length may not suit extremely wide or narrow vehicles

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Installation is straightforward due to the pre-assembled nature of the product. 1. Align the bars across your vehicle's factory railing system. 2. Position the mounting brackets as per the included instructions. 3. Tighten the bolts evenly to ensure the bars are centered and secured. Before your first journey, ensure all bolts are torqued to the manufacturer's recommendations. To maintain the finish, regularly wipe the aluminium with a damp cloth and check for debris buildup in the grooves. Periodically inspect the locking mechanism and mounting bolts before and after long trips to ensure they remain tight.
