Setup, Compatibility & Care
First Use & Fit
When you first receive your Puma Ultra Ultimate boots, ensure you try them on with the socks you typically wear for play. The boots have a 'regular to narrow fit', so assess if the fit feels snug but not uncomfortably tight. Take a few steps and make some dynamic movements to ensure the boot moves with your foot. Proper lacing is key: pull laces firmly but evenly to secure your foot without creating pressure points. A short break-in period during light training sessions is recommended to adapt the boots to your feet.
Compatibility
These boots feature an FG/AG outsole, making them suitable for use on both Firm Ground (FG) – natural grass pitches that are dry or slightly damp – and Artificial Ground (AG) – modern synthetic turf pitches. Avoid using them on extremely hard ground (HG) or soft, muddy ground (SG) as this can damage the studs and compromise performance. The 'adult' age group and 'male' gender classification are general, the fit is more about foot shape than gender.
Care Instructions
To extend the lifespan and maintain the performance of your Ultra Ultimate boots:
- Cleaning after each use: After every match or training session, wipe off dirt and debris with a damp cloth. For stubborn mud, a soft brush can be used carefully. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Drying: Never dry your boots with direct heat (e.g., radiators, hairdryers) as this can damage the upper materials and glues. Instead, stuff them with newspaper to absorb moisture and allow them to air dry at room temperature in a well-ventilated area.
- Storage: Store your boots in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. A boot bag can protect them during transport.
- Sockliner Care: The removable NanoGrip sockliner can be removed and air-dried separately to maintain its anti-slip properties and freshness.
