Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Getting started with your PUMA Ultra Ultimate boots is straightforward. Simply put them on and lace them up to achieve a snug, comfortable fit. Ensure laces are tied securely to fully engage the PWRTAPE support and NanoGrip sockliner benefits. Allow a short break-in period (typically 1-2 sessions) for the materials to conform to your foot shape.
Compatibility
These boots feature an FG/AG outsole, meaning they are designed for optimal performance on:
- Firm Ground (FG): Natural grass pitches that are not excessively wet or muddy.
- Artificial Ground (AG): Modern synthetic turf pitches (often with longer, softer blades).
Do NOT use these boots on:
- Hard ground (HG) surfaces, as this can damage the studs and reduce comfort.
- Indoor court (IC) or short-pile artificial turf (TF) as the studs are too long and will offer poor grip and comfort.
Care
Proper care extends the life and performance of your boots:
- Cleaning: After each use, wipe off excess mud and dirt with a damp cloth. For stubborn dirt, use a soft brush and mild soap. Avoid harsh chemicals.
- Drying: Air dry your boots at room temperature. Do not expose them to direct heat sources (e.g., radiators, direct sunlight) as this can damage materials and adhesives. You can stuff them with newspaper to absorb moisture and help maintain their shape.
- Storage: Store boots in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. Consider using a boot bag for protection when transporting.
- Sockliner: Remove and clean the NanoGrip sockliner periodically if desired. Ensure it's fully dry before reinserting.
