Setup, Compatibility & Care Instructions
Getting the most from your Traditional Style Rug involves proper setup, understanding its compatibility, and consistent care.
Setup
- Unroll the Rug: Carefully unroll the rug in your desired location. It may take 24-48 hours for any creases from packaging to flatten completely.
- Positioning: Place the rug where it best defines your space. Consider furniture placement to ensure it anchors the area effectively.
- Rug Grip (Recommended): For use on hard floors (wood, tile, laminate), place a suitable rug grip underneath the entire rug. This will prevent slipping and shifting, enhancing both safety and rug longevity.
Compatibility
- Floor Types: Compatible with most floor types, including carpet (without grip), wood, laminate, and tile (with grip).
- Interior Styles: Its traditional grey design complements a wide range of interior aesthetics, from contemporary to classic.
- Traffic Areas: Designed to perform well in high-traffic areas due to its durable material and low pile.
Care & Maintenance
- Regular Vacuuming: Vacuum regularly using a low-power setting or a vacuum cleaner with a brush roll set to a high pile height. This prevents dirt from embedding into the fibers.
- Spot Cleaning: For marks and spills, immediately blot the area with a clean, dry cloth. Apply a small amount of gentle surface shampoo diluted according to its instructions. Lightly rub with a clean cloth, working from the outside of the stain inwards. Rinse by blotting with a damp cloth and allow to air dry completely.
- Avoid Harsh Chemicals: Do not use strong detergents, bleach, or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the rug fibers and colour.
- Professional Cleaning: For deep cleaning or stubborn stains, consult a professional rug cleaning service.
- Preventing Movement: Always ensure a rug grip is in place if the rug is on a hard, smooth surface.
