Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure your Birkenstocks last, avoid exposing them to extreme heat or direct water submersion, as this can damage the cork-latex base. When first wearing them, do so for short intervals to allow the leather and cork to mold to your unique foot shape. If the leather upper becomes dusty, use a soft suede brush to gently restore the nap of the nubuck. Regularly inspect the sole for debris and clean the footbed with a damp, lightly soaped cloth if needed, ensuring it is allowed to air dry completely away from direct sunlight.
