Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Upon first wear, or whenever you need to adjust the fit, utilize the buckle strap on the adjustable gusset located at the top of the boot. Loosen or tighten the strap to achieve a comfortable and secure fit around your calf. This ensures the boots stay snug and prevents water ingress from the top.
Compatibility
The Trespass Damon wellies feature removable insoles. This allows for easy cleaning or, crucially, for replacement with custom orthopedic inserts. If you require additional arch support or specific cushioning for foot conditions, you can readily swap out the standard insoles for your preferred ones.
Care
To ensure the longevity and performance of your wellington boots, follow these care instructions:
- Clean After Use: After each wear, especially in muddy or dirty conditions, rinse the boots with clean water to remove dirt, mud, and debris.
- Drying: Wipe them dry with a clean cloth or allow them to air dry naturally. Avoid drying them near direct heat sources (like radiators or fireplaces) or in direct strong sunlight, as this can cause the rubber to crack or degrade over time.
- Deeper Cleaning: For stubborn dirt, use a mild soap and water solution and a soft brush or cloth. Gently scrub the rubber surface.
- Lining Care: The textile lining can be cleaned by wiping with a damp cloth. If you've removed the insole, it can be hand washed with mild soap and air-dried.
- Storage: Store your wellies in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Keeping them upright helps maintain their shape. If white, powdery marks (bloom) appear on the rubber, this is natural and can usually be wiped off with a damp cloth or a specialized rubber boot spray.
