FAQs
Are these shoes suitable for very cold weather?
While the RAIN.RDY membrane provides waterproofing, these shoes are primarily designed for moderate temperatures and wet conditions. They are not insulated for extreme cold.
How do I ensure the correct size for my child?
Use the printed adiFIT(R) measuring tool on the sockliner to compare your child's foot length. Ensure there is a small amount of growing room, but the fit should be secure to prevent slipping.
Can these shoes be machine washed?
No, machine washing is not recommended as it can damage the materials and waterproof membrane. Hand clean with a damp cloth and mild soap.
What is the benefit of the mid-cut design?
The mid-cut design offers increased ankle support compared to low-cut shoes, which is beneficial for stability on uneven or challenging terrain.
How much recycled content is used?
These shoes contain at least 20% recycled content, contributing to adidas's commitment to reducing environmental impact.
Are these shoes available in adult sizes?
This specific model is listed for children. Please check the product details or other available variants for adult sizing options.
Troubleshooting
Water seeping into shoes
Ensure laces are tied snugly. Check for any visible damage to the RAIN.RDY membrane or seams. Clean the shoes thoroughly and allow them to dry completely before use; continued leakage may indicate a compromised membrane.
Poor grip on slippery surfaces
Clean the Traxion outsole of any mud or debris that may be clogging the tread pattern. Ensure the shoes are not worn out; the tread may be less effective if significantly diminished.
Discomfort or rubbing
Verify the fit using the adiFIT(R) tool or by checking for adequate toe room and heel lock. Ensure socks are appropriate for hiking. Break in the shoes with shorter walks before undertaking longer hikes.

Compatibility: Designed primarily for hiking and walking activities. Suitable for children's feet as per the specified UK sizing.
Care Instructions:
- Cleaning: Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth to remove dirt and mud. For stubborn stains, use a mild soap and water solution. Avoid harsh detergents.
- Drying: Air dry the shoes at room temperature. Do not place them near direct heat sources like radiators or in a tumble dryer, as this can damage the materials and waterproof membrane.
- Waterproofing Maintenance: While RAIN.RDY is durable, regular cleaning helps maintain its performance. Avoid using sprays or treatments not designed for waterproof footwear, as they may affect breathability.
