This specific model is a standard hiking shoe. If you require waterproof features, look for the 'RAIN.RDY' version of the Terrex AX4R series.
Pull the lace toggle to tighten the shoes to your desired snugness, then slide the lock down towards the shoe to secure the tension.
It is highly recommended to clean these shoes by hand with a damp cloth or soft brush to maintain the structural integrity of the specialized outsoles and upper materials.
These shoes feature a regular fit. If your child has particularly wide feet, you may want to try them on with their typical hiking socks to ensure comfort.
The upper is constructed from durable, lightweight polyester, which is chosen for its balance of breathability and resistance to trail wear.
Ensure the lace lock is pushed firmly down against the tongue after pulling the drawcord to engage the internal grip.
Remove the insoles and wash them separately in warm water; air dry the shoes completely in a well-ventilated area.
To ensure the best performance, ensure the quick lacing system is tensioned evenly across the instep for a secure hold. These shoes are compatible with standard hiking socks; avoid cotton socks to minimize moisture buildup. To clean, remove loose dirt with a soft brush after each outing. If the shoes become muddy, wipe them down with a damp cloth and mild soap. Allow them to air dry at room temperature away from direct heat sources like radiators, which can degrade the synthetic materials and glue.
