FAQs
Are these shoes true to size?
Yes, the New Balance 5030 trainers follow standard sizing. For this specific model, a UK 11.5 provides a standard fit consistent with other New Balance adult athletic footwear.
Can I use these for marathon running?
While the 5030 features excellent cushioning, it is designed primarily as an all-day lifestyle and light activity trainer rather than a dedicated high-mileage distance running shoe.
How should I store these trainers?
Store in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight to prevent color fading and to allow the materials to breathe after use.
Are the insoles removable?
The insoles are generally removable, allowing for the use of custom orthotics if required for your specific arch support needs.
What is the best way to deodorize the shoes?
Remove the insoles to air them out separately and use a specialized athletic shoe deodorizer spray. Avoid soaking the interior.
Troubleshooting
Visible dirt on the polyester mesh
Use a dry soft-bristled brush to gently whisk away surface dust. For deeper stains, dab with a mix of water and mild detergent.
Soles feeling slippery on slick surfaces
Ensure the outsoles are free of trapped debris or stones, which can reduce traction on smooth tile or wet pavement.

Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure your New Balance 5030 trainers last, keep them dry and clean. Before the first use, consider a fabric-safe water repellent spray if you anticipate walking in light humidity. For regular care, remove dirt by brushing the polyester surface gently with a soft-bristled brush. Avoid placing these trainers in a washing machine, as the agitation can damage the structural adhesives. Instead, spot clean with a damp cloth and mild soap, then allow them to air dry away from direct heat sources like radiators to prevent the materials from warping.
