Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
For optimal adhesion and to benefit from the 10-year guarantee, thorough surface preparation is essential:
- Clean: Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and free from loose material, dirt, grease, or flaking paint.
- Sand: Lightly sand previously painted gloss surfaces to create a 'key' for better adhesion.
- Prime: For bare wood, apply a suitable wood primer. For bare metal, use an appropriate metal primer.
- Application: Apply paint evenly using a brush or roller. Two coats are usually recommended for best results.
Compatibility
This product is specifically formulated for exterior wood and metal surfaces.
Care
- Cleaning Tools: Clean brushes, rollers, and other equipment with water immediately after use.
- Surface Maintenance: Regularly inspect painted surfaces for any signs of damage or wear. Promptly touch up small areas to maintain the protective barrier.
- Avoid Harsh Cleaners: Do not use abrasive cleaners on the finished paint surface; a soft cloth with mild soap and water is sufficient for cleaning.
