Initial Setup & Fit
- Lacing: Ensure laces are securely tied, but not overly tight, to allow for natural foot flex while maintaining support.
- Fit Check: The shoe should feel snug but not restrictive. Your toes should have room to wiggle, and your heel should feel secure without slipping.
- First Wear: Wear your Nike Free Metcon 6 for a light activity to get a feel for their flexibility and support before high-intensity workouts. Some users may experience a slight break-in period.
Compatibility
- Best For: CrossFit, HIIT, circuit training, weightlifting, agility training, plyometrics, general gym workouts, and short runs (up to 1-2 miles).
- Less Ideal For: Long-distance running, highly specialized sports requiring specific footwear (e.g., basketball, soccer), or prolonged standing on concrete without additional cushioning needs.
Product Care & Maintenance
To prolong the life and appearance of your Nike Free Metcon 6:
- Cleaning: Wipe down the engineered mesh upper and rubber outsole with a damp cloth and mild soap. For tougher dirt, use a soft brush. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Drying: Allow shoes to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not use direct heat sources like radiators or tumble dryers, as this can damage materials.
- Storage: Store your shoes in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Consider using shoe trees to help maintain their shape.
- Odor Control: If odors occur, remove insoles and air them out. You can also use shoe deodorizers or sprinkle baking soda inside and let it sit overnight before shaking it out.
