Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Setting up your Nike Free Metcon 6 trainers is straightforward:
- Lacing: Unlace the trainers sufficiently to comfortably insert your foot.
- Insert Foot: Slide your foot into the trainer, ensuring your heel is seated firmly at the back.
- Adjust Laces: Begin tightening the laces from the bottom (closest to the toe) upwards, ensuring a snug but not overly tight fit. Distribute tension evenly across your foot.
- Secure Knot: Tie a secure knot (double knot recommended for active workouts) to prevent laces from coming undone during exercise.
Compatibility
These trainers are highly versatile and compatible with:
- Workout Attire: Pair seamlessly with athletic socks, shorts, leggings, and other gym wear.
- Workout Types: Ideal for gym workouts, circuit training, HIIT, bodyweight exercises, agility drills, light cardio, and functional fitness.
- Surfaces: Perform well on gym floors, studio surfaces, and artificial turf. While durable, they are primarily designed for indoor or controlled outdoor environments.
Care
Proper care will extend the life and appearance of your trainers:
- Cleaning: For general cleaning, wipe the surface with a soft cloth dampened with mild soap and cold water. Avoid harsh chemicals.
- Stubborn Stains: For tougher dirt on the sole or upper, use a soft brush (like an old toothbrush) with the soap and water solution.
- Drying: Always air dry your trainers at room temperature. Do not put them in a dryer or expose them to direct heat, as this can damage materials.
- Storage: Store them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight when not in use. Using shoe trees can help maintain their shape.
- Odor Control: If odors occur, remove insoles and air them out. You can also use shoe deodorizers.
