Product Information

Full details

The Adidas Runfalcon 5 EL trainers are designed for active children who need a reliable, comfortable shoe for daily play, school, and sports activities. These trainers provide excellent comfort through Cloudfoam cushioning and a secure, easy-to-use fastening system, making them ideal for kids who are constantly on the move. While they offer fantastic support for everyday wear, parents should note that these are primarily casual athletic shoes rather than professional-grade performance racing gear.

FAQs

Are these shoes machine washable?

We recommend hand cleaning with a damp cloth. Machine washing can damage the structural materials and the adhesive of the hook-and-loop straps.

Do these have real laces?

No, these feature elastic laces for a slip-on feel, complemented by a hook-and-loop top strap for a secure lockdown.

Are they suitable for wide feet?

The mesh upper is quite flexible, which allows for some accommodation, but they are designed to a standard children's width profile.

What is the primary material?

The upper is made from a lightweight textile mesh with synthetic no-sew details for added durability.

Can these be used for competitive sports?

They are ideal for general physical education and light play, but for high-intensity competitive sports, specialized footwear may be required.

What does 'EL' stand for in the product name?

EL stands for 'Elastic Laces', referring to the slip-on design of the shoe.

Troubleshooting

The hook-and-loop strap is losing its grip.

Remove any lint, hair, or debris from the hooks using a small comb or tweezers.

The trainers feel too tight even with the strap loosened.

Check if the elastic laces are twisted or knotted underneath the eyelets. Ensure the tongue is centered.

The soles are slippery on gym floors.

Wipe the bottom of the rubber outsoles with a slightly damp cloth to remove any dust or wax buildup that may have accumulated.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Quick and easy fastening system for kids
Lightweight and breathable design
Excellent cushioning for long-term comfort
Durable traction on multiple surfaces
Constructed with at least 20% recycled materials

Cons

Limited to casual and light athletic use
Textile upper may stain more easily than leather alternatives
The hook-and-loop strap may wear out over years of heavy daily use

Setup, Compatibility & Care

These trainers require no specific setup; simply adjust the hook-and-loop strap to your child's preferred tension upon the first wear. They are generally true to size for children’s UK sizing standards.

To keep them in good condition:

Cleaning: Wipe away mud and surface dirt with a damp cloth or soft brush. Avoid machine washing to preserve the integrity of the cushioning and the adhesives.
Drying: Air dry only. Do not place near heat sources like radiators, as this can warp the foam and synthetic materials.
Maintenance: Regularly check the hook-and-loop straps for lint or debris, which can be removed with tweezers or a small brush to ensure the adhesive stays sticky.
