Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- First Wear: When first trying on your Furon Elite boots, ensure a snug but comfortable fit. Your toes should be close to the end, but not uncomfortably pressed.
- Lacing: Experiment with different lacing techniques to find what offers the most secure and comfortable fit for your foot shape.
- Break-In Period: Football boots often require a short break-in period. Wear them during light training sessions before competitive matches to allow the materials to adapt to your foot.
Compatibility
These boots are specifically engineered for Firm Ground (FG) pitches. This means they are best suited for natural grass fields that are dry and relatively hard. Using them on soft ground, wet pitches, or artificial turf can reduce performance, lead to discomfort, and potentially damage the boots.
Care
Proper care will extend the life and maintain the performance of your boots.
- Cleaning: After each use, remove loose dirt and mud from the uppers and soleplate. Use a soft brush or damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals.
- Drying: Allow boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not expose them to direct heat sources (e.g., radiators, direct sunlight) as this can damage materials.
- Storage: Store boots in a cool, dry place. Using boot trees can help maintain their shape.
- Composition & Specific Care: For detailed information on the specific materials and their care requirements, refer to the product label that came with your boots.
