Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup Instructions
- Unpack Components: Carefully remove all parts from the packaging. Lay them out and identify each piece against the included instruction manual. Ensure all screws, bolts, and wall fixtures are present.
- Assemble Frame: Follow the step-by-step instructions to connect the sturdy white steel frame components. Hand-tighten screws initially.
- Attach Top: Secure the hard-wearing MDF wooden top to the assembled frame, ensuring the rounded edges are facing outwards for safety.
- Insert Drawer Shelves: Slide the internal shelves into their designated slots within the frame. These shelves feature backstops to hold the drawers in place.
- Prepare Drawers: For each fabric drawer, insert the firm extra board base into the bottom. This provides stability and strength for the drawer.
- Place Drawers: Slide the assembled drawers into their respective slots on the shelves.
- Adjust Feet: Position the unit in its desired location. If the floor is uneven, adjust the plastic feet by twisting them until the unit is level and stable.
- Secure to Wall: Crucially, attach the unit to the wall using the provided wall fixtures. This is a vital safety step to prevent tipping, especially in homes with children. Follow the instructions for your specific wall type.
Compatibility
This storage chest is designed for use in nurseries, children's bedrooms, and playrooms. Its size and design are optimized for storing children's clothing, toys, books, and other accessories. It's compatible with various decor styles that can accommodate its modern light blue, dinosaur, and polka dot aesthetic.
Care & Maintenance
- Cleaning the Frame and Top: Wipe the steel frame and wooden top surface with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals, which can damage the finish.
- Cleaning the Drawers: The breathable, non-woven fabric drawers can be spot-cleaned with a mild soap and water solution. Allow them to air dry completely. Do not machine wash or tumble dry.
- Regular Checks: periodically check all screws and fittings to ensure they remain tight and secure. Re-tighten if necessary.
- Safety Check: Regularly inspect the wall fixtures to ensure the unit remains securely anchored to the wall.
