Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
Setting up your Liberty House Toys Kids 5 Drawer Storage Chest is straightforward, but it does require self-assembly. Follow these general steps:
- Unpack All Components: Carefully remove all parts from the packaging and lay them out. Check against the parts list in your instruction manual to ensure everything is present.
- Assemble the Frame: Begin by constructing the white steel frame, ensuring all screws and connections are tightened securely. Do not overtighten, as this could strip the threads.
- Attach the MDF Top: Once the frame is stable, secure the MDF top to the designated areas on the frame.
- Insert Drawers: Assemble the fabric drawers by inserting the base panel. Then, slide the assembled drawers into their respective slots in the frame. Ensure the back stop mechanism is functional.
- Adjust Feet: Once fully assembled, place the chest in its desired location and adjust the plastic feet to stabilize it on uneven floors.
_Tools typically required for assembly (not usually included): Screwdriver._
Compatibility:
This storage chest is specifically designed for children's spaces. Its compact dimensions (H550 x W1000 x D300mm) make it highly versatile for various room layouts, including:
- Children's bedrooms.
- Nurseries.
- Playrooms.
- Family rooms where children's items need organization.
Care:
Proper care will ensure your storage chest remains in excellent condition for years to come:
- Frame and Top: Wipe the steel frame and MDF top regularly with a soft, damp cloth. For tougher marks, a mild, non-abrasive cleaner can be used. Dry immediately with a clean cloth.
- Fabric Drawers: The non-woven fabric drawers can be spot cleaned with a damp cloth and a small amount of mild soap or detergent. Do not machine wash or submerge in water. Allow them to air dry completely. Avoid using harsh chemical cleaners or abrasive sponges, as these can damage the fabric.
- General Maintenance: Periodically check all screws and connections to ensure they remain tight. Avoid overloading the drawers, as this can strain the fabric and frame. Keep the chest away from direct sunlight or excessive moisture to prevent material degradation.
