FAQs

Is the Regatta Marron jacket suitable for winter?

Yes, it is insulated and waterproof, making it great for typical winter weather. For extreme sub-zero temperatures, we recommend wearing a thermal base layer underneath.

Does the hood detach?

The jacket features an integrated adjustable hood designed for maximum weather protection, which is not detachable.

Can I put this jacket in the dryer?

We recommend air drying, as high heat from a tumble dryer can damage the waterproof membrane and seam tape.

Is the material noisy when walking?

No, the ISOTEX stretch fabric is designed to be relatively quiet and comfortable during regular movement.

How should I choose the right size?

The jacket follows standard sizing. If you plan to wear thick sweaters underneath, you may prefer to size up to ensure a comfortable fit.

Troubleshooting

Water begins to soak into the outer layer instead of beading off

The DWR (Durable Water Repellent) coating has likely worn off. Wash the jacket using a specialized technical re-proofing product.

Feeling damp inside the jacket after heavy activity

While the fabric is breathable, ensure you are wearing appropriate moisture-wicking base layers to help the jacket manage internal vapor effectively.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • High-level waterproof rating with ISOTEX 30000 technology
  • Breathable material prevents moisture buildup during activity
  • Stretch fabric allows for a greater range of motion
  • Taped seams provide enhanced durability against rain
  • Versatile design transitions well from city to trail

Cons

  • Design is best suited for general use rather than extreme mountain conditions
  • Polyester material requires specific care to maintain water repellency
  • May require layering in extremely low temperatures

Setup, Compatibility & Care

This jacket requires no technical setup; it is ready to wear immediately. To ensure long-lasting performance, follow these care instructions:

  1. Cleaning: Machine wash on a cool, gentle cycle with mild detergent. Avoid fabric softeners as they can strip the waterproof coating.
  2. Drying: Air dry naturally away from direct heat sources like radiators to prevent damage to the fabric fibers.
  3. Re-proofing: Periodically check if water beads on the surface. If it starts to soak into the fabric, use a standard technical wash-in re-proofer to restore the water-repellent finish.
  4. Storage: Always ensure the jacket is completely dry before hanging it in a closet to prevent mildew.
