Product Information

Full details

The LS2 FF908 Strobe 2 Flip-Up Helmet is designed for adult commuters and touring riders seeking versatility and safety. Its key benefit is the 90º rotating chin bar, allowing easy transition between full-face and open-face configurations, coupled with ECE 22.06 & P/J homologation. A minor caveat is that while comfortable, its weight might be noticeable on very long journeys. This modular helmet features a KPA shell for safety, a drop-down sun visor, and is Pinlock-ready for enhanced visibility.

FAQs

What is KPA and why is it used?

KPA stands for Kinetic Polymer Alloy. It's a proprietary blend developed by LS2, combining polycarbonate, space-age thermoplastics, and other materials. It offers excellent resistance to impact, flexibility, and is relatively lightweight, contributing to the helmet's overall safety and comfort.

Is the Pinlock insert included with the helmet?

No, the Pinlock® 70 MaxVision™ insert is not included with the helmet. It is an optional accessory that needs to be purchased separately.

How do I clean the helmet's interior?

The interior lining and cheek pads are removable. Hand wash them gently in cool water with a mild soap. Rinse thoroughly and allow them to air dry completely before reinserting them into the helmet.

Can I use this helmet with a Bluetooth communication system?

Yes, the LS2 FF908 Strobe 2 is designed to be ready for the LS2 Intercom system. It features pre-molded pockets for speakers and routing channels for wires, facilitating the installation of compatible communication devices.

What does ECE 22.06 & P/J homologation mean?

ECE 22.06 is the latest European safety standard for motorcycle helmets, offering more rigorous testing than previous standards. P/J homologation specifically means the helmet has been certified for use in both full-face (P) and open-face (J) configurations, indicating safety in both modes.

How do I operate the drop-down sun visor?

The sun visor is typically operated by a slider mechanism located on the side or base of the helmet. Consult the helmet's manual for the exact location and operation specific to your model.

How many shell sizes are available?

The LS2 FF908 Strobe 2 helmet is available in 3 shell sizes: XS-S, M-L, and XL-3XL. This helps in achieving a better fit across a wide range of head sizes.

Troubleshooting

Helmet feels too tight or loose

Ensure you have selected the correct size. The cheek pads and lining are removable and can sometimes be replaced with thicker or thinner versions (sold separately) for a custom fit. Break-in period may also adjust fit.

Visor fogs up easily

Ensure the helmet is compatible with and has a Pinlock insert installed. Clean the inside of the visor regularly to remove any residue that might affect anti-fog performance.

Chin bar is difficult to lift or lower

Ensure the chin bar locking mechanism is fully disengaged. The mechanism might feel stiff initially; try operating it several times to loosen it up. Ensure no debris is obstructing the mechanism.

Ventilation seems insufficient

Make sure the vent openings (chin and top) are fully open and not blocked by debris. Channelled EPS can sometimes accumulate dust; ensure the internal channels are clear.

Strap buckle is hard to fasten

Check that the micrometric buckle is clean and free of debris. Ensure the strap is aligned correctly before attempting to buckle.
