FAQs

What is the length of each leader?

Each leader is 75cm in length.

Are these leaders safe for fish?

Yes, the lead clip system is designed to allow the lead to eject if it becomes snagged, ensuring the fish is not tethered to a weight.

Can I use these on any main line?

Yes, they are designed to be compatible with most standard monofilament, fluorocarbon, and braided main lines via the spliced loop.

What size hook links fit the QC Swivel?

The included Size 8 Quick Change Swivel is compatible with most standard ready-tied hook links and tubing.

How many leaders are in a pack?

Each pack contains three ready-tied leaders.

Troubleshooting

Tail rubber is too tight on the lead clip

Moisten the clip arm with a small amount of water or saliva before pushing the tail rubber on.

Leader is kinking after storage

Gently stretch the leader by pulling from both ends to help the material relax and return to its original shape.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Ready-tied and pre-spliced for instant use
Heavy material ensures it lays flat on the lakebed
Suppler than traditional leadcore alternatives
Includes essential terminal components like tail rubbers and QC swivels

Cons

Fixed 75cm length may not be ideal for all fishing styles
Limited to a three-pack quantity
Requires careful storage to avoid tangles in the tackle box

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup is straightforward using a standard loop-to-loop connection. Simply pass the spliced loop of the leader through your main line loop and pull the entire leader through the main line loop to secure it. When attaching the lead, always ensure the clip arm is moistened before pushing on the tail rubber to prevent damage to the plastic components. For care, rinse the leaders in fresh water after use in silty or weedy environments to prevent debris from hardening inside the swivel or clip. Store them flat in a leader wallet to maintain the integrity of the material and prevent kinks.
