The Nike Air Zoom Mercurial Vapor XVI Elite SG-Pro is a high-performance football boot designed for elite-level players who prioritize speed, responsiveness, and precise ball control. Featuring a revolutionary three-layer upper and advanced Zoom Air cushioning, this boot provides an exceptionally lightweight and barefoot-like feel. While its aggressive traction system excels on soft ground surfaces, players should note that the specialized stud configuration is not designed for hard or synthetic turf surfaces.

No, the SG-Pro configuration is specifically designed for soft natural grass. Using them on hard surfaces can cause premature wear to the soleplate and may lead to injury.
Gripknit is a sticky, pliable, and weather-resistant yarn integrated into the upper to enhance ball control and connection, regardless of wet or dry conditions.
The Zoom Air unit is sealed within the soleplate. Simply keep the outsole clean of debris to prevent any abrasions to the base material.
While the Gripknit material is weather-resistant and excellent for wet conditions, the knit construction is breathable and not fully waterproof.
The combination of Flyknit and Atomknit is designed to provide a secure, locked-in fit. While they will mold to your foot shape, they are engineered to maintain their structural integrity rather than stretching out significantly.
Use a specialized boot brush or a dull plastic scraper to gently clear the gaps between the wave studs after play to maintain traction efficiency.
Ensure the boots are fully air-dried at room temperature; the knit fibers will return to their natural tension once moisture is completely evaporated.
To ensure peak performance, verify that the SG-Pro studs are tightened correctly before initial use on soft ground surfaces. The boot is best suited for natural grass fields that are soft or wet. To maintain the integrity of the Gripknit upper and the knit structure, clean the boots manually after each use by removing mud and debris with a soft-bristled brush and mild soap. Avoid using a washing machine or tumble dryer, as extreme heat can compromise the adhesive bonds and material elasticity. Allow the boots to air dry naturally in a well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight.
