Refer to the Belstaff size guide. Measure your chest, waist, and sleeve length to find the best fit. Note that the Racemaster jacket has a slim fit, so consider sizing up if you prefer a looser fit or plan to layer.
No, do not machine wash the jacket. Machine washing will damage the waxed cotton finish. Spot clean with a damp cloth.
Re-wax the jacket as needed, typically every 1-2 years, or when the water resistance diminishes. The frequency depends on how often you wear the jacket and the environmental conditions.
Use a wax specifically designed for waxed cotton garments. Belstaff offers its own wax, but other brands are available.
Belstaff products typically have a warranty against manufacturing defects. Check the warranty information provided with your jacket or contact Belstaff customer service for details.
The signature check lining is made of a blend of materials. Refer to the product tag for specific details.
The jacket will soften with wear. You can also gently heat the jacket with a hairdryer to help soften the wax.
The jacket offers some protection with reinforced shoulder and elbow panels, but it is not designed as dedicated motorcycle gear. Consider specialized motorcycle jackets for enhanced safety.
Re-wax the jacket using a wax designed for waxed cotton.
The stiffness is normal for waxed cotton. With wear, the jacket will soften. You can gently heat the jacket with a hairdryer to help soften the wax.
Lubricate the zipper with a wax-based lubricant.
Spot clean with a damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid harsh chemicals.
The Belstaff Racemaster jacket requires no special setup. Simply try it on to ensure a proper fit.
