Yes, it is machine washable on a cool, gentle cycle. Avoid fabric softeners and high-heat drying.
The jacket features a fixed warm-lined hood for maximum protection against the elements.
It is designed for cool, wet weather. While it provides insulation, it is primarily intended for rain protection rather than deep mountain snow.
Measure the chest and height to compare against the standard UK children's size guide provided for the 9-10 year age range.
The pockets are designed for general use and storage, but it is recommended to keep electronics or valuables in a secondary waterproof bag if in heavy rain.
The DWR finish may need reactivation; tumble dry on low heat for 10-20 minutes or use a DWR re-proofing spray.
Gently clean the reflective patches with a damp cloth to remove dirt or debris that may be obstructing the light-reflecting surface.
To ensure the longevity of the Vallina jacket, it is important to follow proper care protocols. Wash the garment in cold water on a gentle cycle using a mild detergent designed for waterproof gear. Always air dry the jacket away from direct heat sources, such as radiators or tumble dryers, as high heat can damage the waterproof coating and synthetic insulation. Avoid using fabric softeners, as these can strip away the durable water-repellent (DWR) finish. For storage, keep the jacket in a cool, dry place and ensure it is completely dry before folding it for extended periods.
