Troubleshooting

Foot feels slightly cramped or tight

Try adjusting the lacing pattern to a 'window lacing' style to relieve pressure on the midfoot.

Excessive moisture inside the shoe

Ensure you are using synthetic, moisture-wicking running socks rather than cotton, and remove the sockliner to dry out after every run.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Significantly lighter than the previous version
Excellent energy return from the foam and plate combination
Reliable traction on multiple surfaces
Breathable upper keeps feet cool
Versatile enough for both tempo runs and daily training

Cons

Neutral support may not suit those needing heavy stability features
Performance-focused fit may feel snug for those with wider feet
Limited to road and hard-packed surfaces

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To ensure the best experience, pair your Deviate Nitro 4 with running-specific moisture-wicking socks to complement the breathable mesh upper. Before your first long run, spend time walking in the shoes to allow the upper to adapt to your foot shape.

Care Instructions:

Hand wash with mild soap and cold water if the shoes become muddy.
Air dry away from direct heat sources, such as radiators, which can warp the foam.
Remove the insoles after wet runs to help the interior dry faster.
Check the outsole regularly for any debris trapped in the tread patterns.
