FAQs

Are these shoes suitable for running?

While inspired by the Pegasus running line, the P-6000 is designed primarily as a lifestyle trainer for casual daily wear rather than high-mileage running.

How do I choose the right size?

The P-6000 fits true to standard UK sizes. If you are between sizes, it is recommended to opt for the larger size for extra room.

Can I wash these in a washing machine?

It is not recommended to machine wash these trainers, as the heat and agitation can damage the leather and adhesive components.

Does the animal pattern wear off over time?

The pattern is integrated into the design and is durable, but regular cleaning and avoiding abrasive surfaces will help maintain the print quality.

Are these shoes waterproof?

The P-6000 is made of leather and mesh elements which are not waterproof. They are best suited for dry or light weather conditions.

Troubleshooting

Outer leather scuffing

Use a leather conditioner or a specialized shoe cream in a neutral tone to buff out minor marks.

Insole discomfort

If the original insole feels flat after long-term wear, replace it with a third-party orthotic insole for customized arch support.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Comfortable foam cushioning for all-day wear
Durable construction with high-quality leather materials
Reliable traction on pavement and indoor surfaces
Distinctive retro-inspired style

Cons

Animal pattern may be too bold for some users
Brown colourway may require specific outfit coordination
Limited to casual use rather than technical performance sports

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To ensure your Nike P-6000 trainers remain in top condition, follow these care guidelines:

Cleaning: Use a soft, damp cloth with mild soap to wipe away surface dirt from the leather and overlays. Avoid submerging the shoes in water.
Drying: Always air dry at room temperature. Keep them away from direct heat sources like radiators, as high heat can damage the foam midsole and leather texture.
Storage: Store in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight to prevent the brown colourway from fading.
Compatibility: These trainers are standard UK adult sizes; if you plan to wear thick performance socks, you may want to consider this when assessing your fit.
