The integrated foil cutter is designed to be sharp for clean, quick removal of bottle seals.
Yes, the double-lever mechanism is particularly helpful for delicate, older corks as it provides a stable and gradual pull.
No. Dishwashers will damage the wooden handle and potentially corrode the stainless steel components.
Ensure the worm is centered before screwing in, and avoid pulling sideways; use the full length of the double-lever system to keep the extraction angle vertical.
Ensure you are applying light, even pressure as you rotate the tool around the neck; replace the tool if the blade becomes dull over years of heavy use.
No assembly is required for the Peugeot Malbec. It is compatible with all standard wine bottle necks and both natural and synthetic cork types. To maintain the integrity of the product, avoid submerging the handle in water, as this can damage the wood grain finish. Clean the stainless steel worm with a damp cloth after each use to remove cork debris or wine residue. If the hinge becomes stiff, a tiny drop of food-safe lubricant can be applied to the pivot point.
