FAQs

Can this corkscrew open synthetic corks?

Yes, the Peugeot Malbec is designed to handle both natural and synthetic corks efficiently.

Is the foil cutter replaceable?

The integrated foil cutter is designed for long-term use; however, it is not individually replaceable.

How do I use the double-lever system?

After inserting the worm, engage the first notch on the bottle lip to lift the cork, then switch to the second, deeper notch to complete the extraction.

Is this dishwasher safe?

No, it is recommended to hand wash the tool with a damp cloth to protect the mechanism and the handle finish.

Does it work on sparkling wine bottles?

No, sparkling wine bottles utilize different closures; this tool is specifically designed for still wine corks and crown caps.

Troubleshooting

The worm is difficult to insert into the cork.

Ensure you are holding the handle firmly and centering the worm tip on the middle of the cork before twisting.

The cork breaks during extraction.

Ensure the first lever notch is fully engaged before pulling; if the cork is very old, use a slower, steady pull to avoid snapping.
