Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Lacing: Ensure the re-engineered lacing system is fully loosened before inserting your foot. The laces are strategically placed for an adaptive fit, so once your foot is in, pull them snug but not overtight to activate the midfoot lockdown provided by the FitKnit upper.
- Foot Placement: The improved padding around the Achilles and silicone grip elements inside the boot are designed to keep your foot perfectly positioned. Make sure your heel is seated firmly against the back of the boot.
- Break-in: Like most high-performance football boots, a short break-in period may be beneficial to allow the materials to conform to your foot shape for optimal comfort.
Compatibility
These are Firm Ground (FG) football boots. They are specifically designed and optimized for use on natural grass pitches that are firm and dry. Using them on artificial turf (AG), soft ground (SG), or indoor surfaces is not recommended as it can compromise performance, durability, and potentially lead to injury.
Care
- Cleaning: After each use, wipe down the boots with a damp cloth to remove dirt, mud, and debris. For tougher stains, use a mild soap solution and a soft brush. Avoid harsh chemicals.
- Drying: Allow the boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do *not* use direct heat sources like radiators or hairdryers, as this can damage the materials and adhesives. Stuffing them with newspaper can help absorb moisture and maintain shape.
- Storage: Store your boots in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Consider using a boot bag to protect them from dust and damage.
- Inspection: Regularly inspect the studs and soleplate for wear and tear. Address any loose parts or damage promptly to maintain performance and safety.
