Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure your DC Shoes last as long as possible, follow these maintenance guidelines:
- Break-in Phase: Wear the shoes for short periods initially to allow the stiff leather and padding to mold to your foot shape.
- Cleaning: Use a soft-bristled brush to remove dry dirt from the surface. For leather or suede sections, use a specialized cleaning solution designed for the specific material.
- Storage: Keep in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent leather cracking or fading of the red and black pigment.
- Lacing: Adjust the laces to your preferred tension, but avoid overtightening, as the high-top structure already provides inherent support.
- Drying: If the shoes get wet, air-dry them naturally at room temperature. Never place them near direct heat sources like radiators, as this will damage the adhesive and material.
