The Seasalt Cornwall East View Knitted Vest is designed for women seeking a versatile, lightweight layering piece that transitions effortlessly between seasons. Crafted from a high-quality blend of merino wool and recycled nylon, it offers a soft, durable feel with a polished semi-fitted silhouette. While it provides excellent thermal comfort for layering over shirts and tees, users should note that the seven-gauge knit requires specific machine-washing care to maintain its structural integrity over time.

Yes, the blend of merino wool and recycled nylon is designed to be soft and lightweight, minimizing the irritation often associated with coarser wools.
It is not recommended. Machine drying can shrink the wool fibers and cause the garment to lose its shape. Always dry flat.
Fold the vest neatly in a drawer. Avoid hanging it on a hanger for long periods, as the weight of the knit can cause the shoulders to stretch.
The vest is designed with a semi-fitted shape. If you prefer a looser look for layering over thicker sweaters, you may consider sizing up.
The gauge refers to the number of needles used per inch on the knitting machine. A seven-gauge knit creates a medium-weight texture that is substantial yet breathable.
Ensure you are using a wool-specific detergent and avoid fabric softeners, which can coat the fibers and alter the natural feel of the merino wool.
Light pilling is common with natural wool blends. Use a fabric shaver or sweater comb gently to remove surface pills without damaging the knit structure.
To ensure the longevity of your garment, always turn the vest inside out before placing it in the washing machine. Use a gentle cycle with a wool-friendly detergent to preserve the fibers. Do not use high-heat tumble drying, as this can degrade the nylon and merino blend; instead, reshape the vest while damp and lay it flat on a drying rack away from direct heat sources. This vest is highly compatible with basic wardrobe staples like crew-neck tees, button-down shirts, and tailored trousers.
