Full details

Equine America Applelytes Paste is a complementary supplement designed to support electrolyte levels in horses engaged in hard work. As horses exercise and sweat, they lose essential electrolytes and mineral salts. While low levels can be replaced with sodium chloride, horses in medium to hard work and daily sweating require an electrolyte supplement. Insufficient electrolytes can lead to lethargy and have detrimental effects on the horse's health. This product is a salt-based formulation, ideal for replenishing the horse's body after sweating. It contains all the necessary mineral salts to restore vital electrolytes to the bloodstream following intense exercise. Applelytes are also available in a syringe for quick electrolyte replenishment during high-level competition and endurance events. It is important to note that electrolytes should not be administered to a dehydrated horse; always ensure the horse has consumed water and recovered from exercise first. This product does not contravene current Jockey Club or FEI rules and can be fed while the horse is competing.
