Setup, Compatibility & Care Instructions
Setup
Setting up your Enhanced Living Austin Curtains is straightforward thanks to their eyelet header:
- Select a Rod: Choose a curtain rod or pole that is compatible with eyelet curtains. Ensure the rod's diameter is smaller than the eyelet rings for smooth gliding.
- Mount the Rod: Securely mount your curtain rod above your window frame, following the manufacturer's instructions for the rod. Ensure it is level and capable of supporting the curtain's weight.
- Thread the Curtains: Simply thread the eyelet rings onto your curtain rod, alternating the direction of the fabric folds to create an even drape.
- Position: Once threaded, adjust the curtains to your desired position, ensuring they cover the window adequately when closed.
Compatibility
These curtains are designed to be highly versatile:
- Rod Compatibility: Compatible with most standard curtain rods and poles.
- Decor Integration: The grey textured linen look blends well with a wide range of interior designs.
- Matching Accessories: For a cohesive look, matching cushion covers are available (sold separately) to tie your room's aesthetic together.
- Other Variants: The 'Dallas' range offers the same fabric with a 3-inch tape header if an alternative hanging style is preferred, though this specific product features an eyelet header.
Care
Proper care will ensure the longevity and appearance of your Austin Curtains:
- Washing: Hand wash only. Gently wash the curtains using a mild detergent in cool water. Avoid harsh scrubbing or wringing.
- Bleaching: Do not bleach, as this can damage the fabric and alter its color.
- Drying: Do not tumble dry. Air dry by hanging them over a line or rod, allowing them to drip dry naturally. Ensure they are not exposed to direct strong sunlight during drying to prevent fading.
- Ironing: If necessary, iron with a cool iron on the 'face' of the fabric (the side that faces into the room). Use a pressing cloth if desired to protect the texture.
