Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Installing your Austin Blackout Curtains is straightforward due to their eyelet header design:
- Unpack: Carefully remove the curtains from their packaging.
- Prepare Rod: Ensure your curtain rod is securely installed above your window frame.
- Thread Eyelets: Gently thread each silver eyelet ring onto your curtain rod. The 4cm inner diameter is designed to fit most standard curtain rods.
- Adjust Pleats: Once threaded, adjust the curtains to create even folds and ensure full window coverage.
Compatibility
These curtains feature silver eyelet rings with an inner diameter of 4cm. They are compatible with most standard curtain rods that have a diameter less than 4cm. Please measure your existing or intended curtain rod to ensure a proper fit.
Care
Proper care will maintain the appearance and performance of your curtains:
- Washing: Hand wash only. Fill a basin with cool water and a mild detergent, gently immerse the curtains, and agitate lightly. Rinse thoroughly until all soap is removed.
- Drying: Do not tumble dry. Gently squeeze out excess water, then hang to drip dry, away from direct sunlight.
- Bleaching: Do not bleach, as this can damage the fabric and color.
- Ironing: If creases appear, cool iron on the face side only. Avoid high heat to prevent damage to the textured fabric.
