The UK Radiators Square Angled Radiator Valves in matte black are designed for homeowners and DIY enthusiasts looking to modernize their heating systems with a sharp, minimalist aesthetic. No, these are manual radiator valves and do not automatically adjust heat based on room temperature.
These specific valves are designed for 8mm pipework; you would need appropriate adapters for 15mm piping.
The valves are constructed from solid brass and finished in a high-quality matte black coating.
They are compatible with any radiator using standard 1/2 inch BSP threads, provided the pipe size is 8mm.
Standard plumbing installation procedures apply; it is recommended to consult a professional to ensure the system is sealed properly.
Ensure the thread seal tape (PTFE tape) is correctly applied and the nut is tightened to the recommended torque specifications.
Verify that the valve is fully open and check the system for airlocks; you may need to bleed the radiator to allow water to circulate.
Installation should be carried out by a qualified heating engineer to ensure all seals are pressure-tested and secure. These valves are specifically engineered for 8mm pipework; ensure your current heating system layout matches this requirement before purchase. To care for the matte black finish, avoid using abrasive cleaning pads or harsh chemical cleaners, as these can strip the finish. Simply wipe down with a soft, damp cloth and dry immediately to prevent water spots and maintain the depth of the color.
