FAQs
What size is this football?
This is a Size 3 football, which is typically recommended for younger children aged 8 and under, though it can also be used for general training and casual play.
Does the ball come inflated?
No, the football is shipped deflated and requires inflation before use.
What material is the cover made of?
The cover is made of 100% Polyurethane (TPU).
Is this ball suitable for professional matches?
No, this is a club-level ball designed for training and casual play, not for official professional matches. It lacks the advanced construction and materials of match balls.
How do I check the correct air pressure?
The recommended air pressure is usually printed on the ball itself, near the valve. If not visible, a standard pressure for similar-sized balls is typically between 4.3 and 6.5 PSI (0.3 to 0.45 bar).
What is the benefit of the butyl bladder?
A butyl bladder offers excellent air retention, meaning the ball will stay inflated for longer periods compared to latex bladders, reducing the frequency of re-inflation.
How should I clean the football?
Clean the football with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or soaking the ball in water, as this can degrade the materials.
Troubleshooting
Ball not holding air
Ensure the inflation needle is fully inserted and the valve is not damaged. Check for any visible punctures or seams that may be leaking. If the issue persists, the bladder may need replacement.
Panels feel loose or stitching is coming undone
Inspect the stitching for any damage. For minor issues, this might be cosmetic. However, significant separation indicates wear and may impact performance. Consider replacing the ball if structural integrity is compromised.
Ball feels uneven or misshapen
Ensure the ball is properly inflated to the recommended pressure. If the shape issue persists after correct inflation, there may be an internal problem with the bladder or construction.

Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: This football requires inflation before its first use and periodically as needed to maintain optimal pressure. Use a standard football pump with a needle valve (not included) to inflate the ball to the recommended pressure, which is typically indicated on the ball itself or in its packaging.
Compatibility: The adidas x Messi Club Football is designed for use on grass surfaces, artificial turf, and other general outdoor play areas. It is compatible with standard football pumps.
Care:
- Cleaning: Wipe the ball clean with a damp cloth after use, especially if it has been played on a wet or muddy surface. Avoid using harsh detergents or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the cover material.
- Storage: Store the football in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Deflating the ball slightly before storage can help preserve the bladder's integrity over long periods.
- Inflation: Regularly check the ball's pressure and inflate as necessary. Over-inflation or under-inflation can affect performance and potentially damage the ball.
