FAQs

Is this ball suitable for competitive league matches?

While the adidas Messi Club Ball is built to a high standard, it is categorized as a recreational ball. Check with your specific league regulations to see if a match-certified ball is required.

Does the ball come inflated?

No, the ball is typically shipped deflated to ensure safe transport. You will need a standard ball pump to inflate it.

Can I use this ball on concrete surfaces?

While it can be used on various surfaces, playing on concrete or asphalt will significantly increase wear and tear on the outer material and cosmetic finish.

What is the official size of this ball?

This is a Size 5 ball, which is the standard size for players aged 12 and up, including adults.

How should I clean the gold finish?

A soft cloth dampened with mild soapy water is sufficient. Avoid abrasive sponges that may scratch the gold detailing.

Troubleshooting

The ball is losing air pressure rapidly.

Check the valve for debris or ensure the needle was inserted correctly. If the issue persists, the internal bladder may have a slow leak; avoid over-inflating.

The ball feels too hard or bouncy.

Use a pressure gauge to ensure the ball is not over-inflated beyond the manufacturer's recommended psi.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Cons

Not intended for high-level professional competitive matches

Gold finish may show signs of scuffing with heavy use on rough surfaces

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To ensure your adidas Messi Club Ball remains in peak condition, follow these guidelines:

Inflation: Ensure the ball is inflated to the recommended pressure (usually 0.5-0.7 bar or 7-10 psi) using a standard ball pump with a lubricated needle.
Needle Care: Always moisten the inflation needle with a drop of silicone oil or water before inserting it into the valve to prevent damage to the internal bladder.
Cleaning: Wipe the ball down with a damp cloth after use to remove dirt, mud, and grass stains. Avoid using harsh chemical cleaners or stiff brushes that could damage the outer casing.
Storage: Store in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight to prevent premature material degradation.
