Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Lacing: Loosen the laces completely before putting on the boots. This allows your foot to slide in easily without stressing the material.
- Fitting: Slide your foot in, ensuring your heel is comfortably seated at the back of the boot. The regular fit is designed to accommodate various foot shapes.
- Adjusting Tongue: Position the foldover tongue to ensure it lays flat and comfortably over your instep. The strap helps secure it in place for an integrated feel.
- Tightening Laces: Starting from the bottom, gradually tighten the laces to achieve a snug, secure fit without being overly restrictive. Double-knot for security during play.
Compatibility
These boots are specifically designed for Turf (TF) surfaces, also known as artificial grass or astro turf. The aggressive rubber outsole provides optimal grip and stability on these types of pitches. They are not recommended for natural grass (Firm Ground/FG, Soft Ground/SG) or indoor court (IC) surfaces, as this can affect performance and potentially damage the outsole or the playing surface.
Care
- Cleaning: After each use, wipe down the synthetic upper with a damp cloth to remove dirt and debris. For tougher stains, use a mild soap solution and a soft brush. Avoid harsh chemicals.
- Drying: Always allow your boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not expose them to direct heat sources like radiators or direct sunlight, as this can cause the materials to warp or crack.
- Storage: Store your boots in a cool, dry place, away from extreme temperatures. Using shoe trees can help maintain their shape.
- Maintenance: Periodically check the laces and outsole for wear and tear. Promptly replace worn laces. Keep the Strikescale elements and touch grooves clear of mud and dirt to maintain their effectiveness.
