Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
Unroll the rug upon arrival and allow it to lay flat for several hours or overnight to relax any creases from packaging. If it doesn't lay perfectly flat, you can place heavy objects (like books) on the edges for a short period. For safety on smooth floors, consider using a non-slip rug pad underneath, especially in high-traffic areas.
Compatibility:
This rug is suitable for most indoor floor types, including hardwood, tile, and laminate. Its low profile makes it compatible with underfloor heating, but always check your specific heating system's recommendations. It is not recommended for outdoor use as prolonged exposure to moisture and sunlight can damage the materials.
Care:
- Regular Vacuuming: Vacuum regularly using a standard vacuum cleaner without a beater bar to prevent damage to the braided fibers.
- Spot Cleaning: For spills and stains, blot immediately with a clean, dry cloth. For tougher spots, use a damp cloth with a mild detergent, working from the outside of the stain inward. Avoid overwetting the rug.
- Deep Cleaning: For a more thorough clean, professional rug cleaning is recommended. Avoid machine washing or harsh chemical treatments.
