Dechra Specific FOW-HY Allergy Management is a premium, nutritionally complete wet food formulated for cats struggling with chronic sensitivities and adverse food reactions. Designed for pet owners whose cats require a strict elimination diet to identify and manage triggers, this formula relies on carefully selected, limited ingredients to minimize allergic responses while supporting skin health. While it provides excellent targeted nutrition, owners should note that it requires a transition period to ensure digestive comfort and should only be served under veterinary supervision.

While it is nutritionally complete, it is specifically formulated for cats with allergies. It is generally best to only feed this to the cat that requires the restricted diet.
Most cats show improvement in skin and digestive symptoms within 3 to 8 weeks, though this varies by individual.
Yes, this is a veterinary-exclusive diet and should be used under the guidance and recommendation of your veterinarian.
Only if your veterinarian has approved a specific compatible dry formula that adheres to the same restricted ingredient profile.
Keep unopened pouches in a cool, dry place. Once opened, store in the refrigerator and use within 24 hours.
Try warming the food slightly or introducing it more slowly over a longer period, ensuring you are not offering any other treats or snacks.
Slow down the transition process by adding smaller amounts of the new food to the current diet over an additional 3-4 days.
Transitioning to this diet should happen over 5 to 7 days, mixing increasing amounts of FOW-HY with your cat's previous food to avoid digestive upset. The product comes in convenient 100g portions, which should be served at room temperature to maximize aroma and palatability. Store unopened pouches in a cool, dry place. Once a pouch is opened, it should be refrigerated and consumed within 24 hours. Always provide access to fresh, clean water, as hydration is critical for cats dealing with skin and coat issues. If your cat refuses the food, try warming the pouch slightly or mixing in a small amount of warm water.
