Specific Intensive Support Recovery Wet Food is a highly palatable, nutrient-dense diet formulated by Dechra for dogs and cats experiencing recovery from surgery, illness, or trauma. Designed specifically for animals with a reduced appetite, it provides a concentrated source of protein and fat to help pets regain strength quickly; however, it should only be used under the direct guidance of a veterinarian as part of a supervised recovery plan.

No, this food is specifically formulated for recovery and has a high caloric and fat content that is not suitable for the daily needs of a healthy animal.
The duration is determined by your veterinarian based on your pet's recovery progress and specific medical condition.
While it is nutrient-dense, you must confirm with your vet if this is appropriate for your young pet's specific developmental needs.
Yes, this is a veterinary-supervised diet and should only be used under the direction of a qualified professional.
Transfer unused portions to a sealed container and keep them refrigerated for no more than 48 hours.
Warm the food slightly to release aromas or try hand-feeding a small amount to encourage the pet.
Mix in a small amount of warm water to create a smoother, more fluid consistency.
Reduce the portion size and consult your veterinarian immediately to adjust the feeding schedule.
To begin feeding, consult your veterinarian to determine the appropriate caloric intake based on your pet's current weight and clinical status. When transitioning, ensure the food is served at room temperature to maximize its aroma, which can further entice a reluctant eater. Any unused portion must be covered, refrigerated, and used within 24-48 hours. If syringe feeding, you may need to mix the food with a small amount of warm water to achieve a thinner consistency, but always verify this technique with your veterinary staff first.
