FAQs
Are these shoes suitable for everyday wear or just sports?
These trainers are designed for active children and are excellent for sports, playground activities, and everyday adventures where comfort, durability, and waterproofing are beneficial.
How do I clean the waterproof membrane?
The waterproof membrane is best maintained by gentle cleaning with a damp cloth and mild soap if necessary. Avoid harsh chemicals and do not machine wash or tumble dry, as this can compromise the membrane's integrity.
What is the purpose of the Powerstrap?
The Powerstrap is an adjustable closure system designed to provide a secure and customized fit, helping to lock the foot in place during active movement and prevent slippage within the shoe.
How do I know if I've selected the correct size?
Refer to the sizing guide provided by ON Running and measure your child's foot to find the best fit. The trainers should be snug but allow room for movement without being too tight.
Are these shoes suitable for very cold weather?
While waterproof, these trainers are primarily designed for active use and cushioning. For extreme cold with heavy snow, consider additional thermal socks or specialized winter footwear.
What does CloudTec® cushioning offer?
CloudTec® is ON Running's signature cushioning technology that provides a soft landing and explosive take-off, offering a comfortable and responsive feel with every stride.
Can these shoes be used for hiking?
Yes, the Missiongrip™ outsole provides good traction on various surfaces, making them suitable for light hiking and trail adventures. The waterproof feature is also beneficial for varied trail conditions.
Troubleshooting
Shoes feel too tight or too loose
Adjust the Powerstrap for a more secure fit. Ensure speed laces are tied correctly to provide the right level of snugness.
Water is seeping into the shoes
Check the integrity of the waterproof membrane and seams. Ensure all closures are fastened tightly. If damage is suspected, discontinue use.
Traction seems reduced on wet surfaces
Clean the Missiongrip™ outsole of any debris, mud, or grit that might be impeding its grip. Ensure the outsole material is not excessively worn.
Difficulty pulling shoes on or off
Ensure the tongue is properly positioned and the laces are loosened before attempting to put on or remove the shoes. Utilize the designated pull tabs.
