The Rapid XT is best suited for approach hikes, light trails, and day hikes. It is not designed for heavy backpacking or extremely rugged, technical terrain.

Use a leather cleaner and a soft brush. Avoid harsh chemicals. After cleaning, apply a leather conditioner to maintain the leather's suppleness.

Wear hiking socks appropriate for the weather. Moisture-wicking socks are recommended to keep your feet dry and comfortable.

The lifespan of the GORE-TEX membrane depends on use and care. Proper care, including regular cleaning and avoiding damage, can extend its effectiveness.
