FAQs

Are these shoes suitable for long-distance running?

The Grid Legacy is primarily a lifestyle trainer designed for light sports and casual wear; it is not recommended for high-mileage or professional long-distance running.

How do I determine my size?

Saucony sizes follow standard UK sizing conventions; we recommend selecting your usual athletic shoe size.

Can I replace the insole with custom orthotics?

Yes, the provided insoles are generally removable, allowing you to insert your own custom orthotics if preferred.

What is the best way to clean the white elements of the shoe?

Use a specialized sneaker cleaning solution and a soft cloth to gently scrub the white mesh and synthetic areas to avoid staining.

Are these shoes water-resistant?

No, the mesh upper is designed for breathability rather than water resistance. Avoid wearing them in heavy rain.

Troubleshooting

Accumulation of dirt in the mesh upper

Use a soft-bristle brush to gently dislodge dry dirt from the mesh weave before wiping with a damp cloth.

Slippage or loose fit

Re-lace the shoes using a runner's loop (heel lock) to ensure a tighter, more secure fit around the ankle area.

Odour buildup from daily wear

Remove the insoles after use to allow the interior to air out completely and use deodorizing inserts if necessary.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Excellent shock absorption for daily walking
Highly breathable upper material
Versatile design suitable for casual and light sport use
Reliable traction on standard city pavement

Cons

Not intended for technical or professional athletic performance
Limited to casual/urban environments
Lightweight construction may require more frequent cleaning

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To ensure the longevity of your Saucony Grid Legacy trainers, begin by ensuring a proper fit; there should be a comfortable thumb's width of space at the toe. These shoes are compatible with standard athletic lacing patterns to optimize support. For care, avoid machine washing or drying, as this can degrade the adhesives and structural foam. Instead, remove surface dirt with a soft-bristled brush, and use a damp cloth with mild soap for localized stains. Allow them to air-dry naturally away from direct heat sources like radiators to prevent material deformation.
