Setup, Compatibility & Care
Initial Setup
- Lacing: Loosen the laces completely before putting on the boots. This allows your foot to slide in easily without stressing the boot's material.
- Fit: Once your foot is in, gently pull the stretchy tongue into place. Begin lacing from the bottom up, ensuring a snug but comfortable fit. Avoid overtightening, which can restrict circulation.
- Break-in: While these boots are designed for comfort, a short break-in period is often beneficial. Wear them for a few light training sessions before a full match to allow them to fully conform to your foot.
Compatibility
- Playing Surface: Designed for Firm Ground (FG) pitches, which are typically natural grass fields in dry to slightly damp conditions. The description also notes suitability for artificial grass; use on modern, well-maintained artificial turf is generally acceptable. Not recommended for soft ground (SG) or extremely hard ground (HG) surfaces.
- Socks: For optimal comfort and to prevent blisters, wear appropriate football socks that offer cushioning and moisture-wicking properties.
Product Care
Proper care extends the life and maintains the performance of your boots:
- Cleaning After Use: Immediately after playing, wipe off any mud or dirt using a damp cloth. For stubborn mud, use a soft brush. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Drying: Never dry your boots by direct heat (e.g., radiators, hairdryers) as this can damage the materials and cause cracking. Instead, stuff them with newspaper to absorb moisture and allow them to air dry at room temperature.
- Storage: Store your boots in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. Consider using a boot bag for protection when transporting.
- Odour Control: If odours develop, use boot deodorizers or sprinkle baking soda inside the boots and leave overnight.
