Setup, Compatibility & Care
Getting Started
- Lacing: Loosen the laces completely before putting the boots on. Utilize the dual pull tabs to comfortably slide your foot in. Ensure your heel is snugly seated.
- Fit Check: Lace the boots up, starting from the bottom eyelets, pulling evenly to secure a snug but not overly tight fit. Walk around a bit to ensure there are no pressure points and that your toes have a small amount of wiggle room without your foot sliding.
- Break-In: Like most football boots, these may require a short break-in period. Wear them for a few light training sessions before a full match to allow them to conform to your foot shape.
Compatibility
These boots feature a Multi-Ground (FG/MG) soleplate, making them compatible with:
- Firm Ground (FG): Natural grass pitches that are dry or slightly damp.
- Artificial Grass (AG): Newer generations of artificial turf pitches (3G/4G) that often have rubber crumb infill.
*Note*: Avoid using these boots on very hard ground, icy surfaces, or older, abrasive artificial turf (2G or sand-based) as this can damage the studs and soleplate, and reduce performance.
Care and Maintenance
Proper care extends the life and maintains the performance of your boots:
- Cleaning: After each use, remove loose dirt and mud by gently tapping the boots together. Use a soft brush or cloth with lukewarm water to wipe down the upper and soleplate. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive scrubbing.
- Drying: Allow boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not use direct heat sources like radiators or hairdryers, as this can damage the materials and adhesives. Stuffing with newspaper can help absorb moisture and maintain shape.
- Storage: Store boots in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. A boot bag can help protect them from scuffs and scratches.
